Loch Lomond Unplugged Festival Shines a Light on Local Talent🎤

Loch Lomond Shores on the 24th & 25th of May 2025

Back in May, we were delighted to host the first-ever Loch Lomond Unplugged Festival and Busking Competition, which brought the banks of the loch to life with a weekend of incredible music.

The event was a huge success, showcasing a fantastic array of musical talent from across Scotland and creating a vibrant, feel-good atmosphere for all our visitors.

The highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly the Busking Competition, which saw 16 talented performers fill the air with their unique sounds. The standard was exceptionally high, but one young musician stood out from the very beginning.

We are thrilled to announce that the winner of the inaugural Loch Lomond Busking Competition was the incredibly talented Sam Baird. At just 15 years old, Sam captivated the judges and the crowd with his powerful vocals and impressive guitar skills, demonstrating a maturity and stage presence far beyond his years. His performance was truly a showstopper, and he is a very deserving winner.

A massive thank you to all the musicians who participated, our Judges – Mike Ward of La Seirra Casa, DJ Jim Gellatly, our organisers SHS Events, and Phil & Paul from Lomond Radio, plus everyone who came down to support the event. The Loch Lomond Unplugged Festival proved that the West of Scotland is full of amazing talent, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for all our performers, especially our rising star, Sam Baird. We’ll be keeping a very close eye on his musical journey!
